Returning to where I went to undergrad as both a professor and technician. The window - A brief History of Windows: the rondel, the cylinder and float is an exploration in understanding the ways glass has been manufactured for windows - the rondel/crown method or glass from a puntied and spun open platter, the cylinder method where as a cylinder is blown and then filleted open and finally the common industrial way or float glass where glass is poured on to molten tin - thus float. The other work is Cloud Architecture which is a combination of pieces made by Lobmeyr and designed by Oswald Haerdtl while thinking of Magritte's paintings with clouds.
